Water Meter Technician Wanted at Österlen VA

Österlen VA is looking for a water meter technician for a varied job with a lot of customer contact and significant personal responsibility. The position is a temporary contract.

Österlen VA is an operating company jointly owned by the municipalities of Tomelilla and Simrishamn. We have a strong interest in technology and the environment and are engaged in research on new technologies and models for the future of water and wastewater management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will handle customer inquiries and visit customers to open and close service valves as well as replace water meters.

The work involves close collaboration with colleagues in the drinking water department within the Production division.

We place great emphasis on performing the work in a safe and quality-conscious manner. The position is based in Simrishamn, but you will primarily work on assignments in both Tomelilla and Simrishamn municipalities.

QUALIFICATIONS

If you are curious, engaged, and eager to learn new things, you are the right person for us. Experience in the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater networks is an advantage, but the most important thing is that you have commitment and a willingness to learn.

Since you will have a lot of customer contact, we value a service-oriented attitude and good collaboration skills. We are looking for someone who is communicative, meticulous, and representative, while also contributing a positive attitude to both customers and colleagues.

For the job responsibilities, you must be able to communicate well in Swedish.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in practical work
• Experience in customer service
• Driver's license (B)
• High school education
• Computer skills and experience working with digital reporting and documentation.
• Previous experience in water installation work is an advantage
